When the boss is away

When the boss is away the Employee's will play, and that is exactley what Gena and I did. Nothing does a body better then spending 5 day's laying on a beach in Sunny Florida...not to mention eating oustside on 5th Ave. in dowtown Naples...if only I could have stayed a month or two longer!!!!

Upwards

On Saturday's instead of sitting on the couch drinking coffee and watching Goodmorning America you will now find me running the Scoreboard for the Upwards Basketball program at church...yes, you heard me right I am running the scoreboard!!! I thought it would be nice for John to volunteer his time for such a great program so I signed him up and the deal was I had to help...I never dreamed he would really make me go...so at 7am last Sat I got up and got ready and whined the whole way there...hard to believe I know...the funny thing is...I had such a great time watching the kids play...who knew that running a scoreboard from 8:30 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon could be so much fun!!!

Do you see what I see

I walked in to Target on Sat...and there they were...Swim Suit's...can you believe it...it's a hundred below zero outside I'm still carrying around my holiday pounds...not to mention the Snickers Blizzards from last summer....if only carrots and celery tasted as good as chocolate and pizza...

When family calls

When family calls it doesn't matter your agenda, we will be there and Jill needed us today...it's been a week for her...Mary Elizabeth was just diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and her heart is breaking watching her little girl deal with the pain and the uncertainty of what is to come...our family is no strangers to pain and tragedy...but we know how to pray and love and support each other...but most of all we know what our God can do and we have experienced time and time again the power of his love and his presence during times like these...I love my family and I am so thankful for each and everyone of them and when they hurt, I hurt, so today my heart hurts.

We've been here for OW-WERS

We've been here for "OW-WERS" can we go...and I'm sure it felt that way to him...he was so good and patient...thank goodness for Dinosaurs!

IT'S OFFICIAL

It"s Official...as of 5 o'clock Jan. 2nd 2009 Tom is now a happy home owner!! It's his first home...a place he can call his own...the best Christmas gift given to him from God...it just brings tears to my eye's he has worked so hard his entire life...it has not been easy for him, overcomeing many obsticles...I'd like to find the "Professional's " who told me when he was 7, to never expect him to go very far...but ya know what...they don't know my God and they had no clue what God's plan was for his life!

I was so proud of all of us for staying awake until midnight! When the clock struck midnight and the ball had landed you would have thought John would have been right there for his Kiss of the Year...but no...he was playing Air Hockey with Don...sorry John the moment is over!!! Try again next year!
